Caleb SchmidtDirector of Clinical SciencesSovaris Aerospace
Mr. Schmidt is the Director of Clinical Sciences for Sovaris Aerospace. Sovaris is a company focused on assessment and solutions applied to humans in space and extreme environments on Earth., with an emphasis on translational medicine for earth-based clinical applications. He is also an active member of the Advanced Pattern Analysis and Countermeasures Group. In this work, Mr. Schmidt has collaborated with organizations such as the Mayo Clinic, Weill Cornell Medicine, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, and NASA, among others. Much of this work has been based on the integration of multi-omics data, including genomics, transcriptomics, serum chemistry, metabolomics, gut microbiomics, and measures of the clinical phenotype. He has experience in literature mining and interpretation, preclinical research, human clinical study design, trial execution, data analysis and pattern recognition, and manuscript preparation. These experiences are complemented by his skill in product development, systems engineering, project management, leadership, conflict resolution, and strategic initiatives. Caleb holds an M.S. in Immunology and Microbiology, and a B.S. in Biochemistry. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
