New HFSE Dates - December 6-8, 2021

We at the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo are excited to welcome back our community to an in-person event. Our team is committed to creating an event experience where our customers, partners, and team members can safely and effectively learn, network and conduct business. Below you will find the health measures we have in place and how you can participate in creating a safe environment for all participants.
 

Proof of Vaccination or Negative COVID Test

All HFSE participants must submit proof of COVID Vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the event.  

All participants will receive an email from Crowd Pass the week of November 15 with instructions on how to submit proof of vaccine or test.  Participants who register after November 15 will receive an email within a week of registering.  If you did not recieve an email click here

Masks Required

The City of Austin has issued a mask mandateordinance (effective Aug. 12, 2021).  Masks are required to be worn by all individuals except while eating and drinking while in the Austin Convention Center. This includes attendees, exhibitors, vendors and HFSE staff.

Venue

The Austin Convention Center (ACC) will host HFSE 2021.  ACC is in close contact with Austin Public Health (APH) who is monitoring the situation in coordination with Texas Department of State Health Services, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), local and regional public health and healthcare agencies.

Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test FAQs

What type of Covid-19 vaccination is required for entry into HFSE?

All attendees, exhibitors, staff and contractors are required to provide either a proof of being fully vaccinated OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before arriving at the Austin Convention Center.  Instructions on how to do this will be emailed to participants the week of November 15 and every week thereafter. 

You will receive an e-mail from CrowdPass within 24 hours indicating if your submission was approved or rejected. Approved submissions will include a QR code. Please bring your QR code with you to the HFSE registration desk onsite when you pick up your badge. We will scan the QR code to officially check you in. HFSE does not have access to the information you submit via CrowdPass. We are only able to see a list of names of those that have submitted to be pre-cleared for the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo, and the status of the submission

What do I need to bring with me to show proof of vaccination?

Once you have completed the health form through CrowdPass you will receive an approved email with a QR code. 

I will need to schedule a PCR covid test before returning to my home country, does HFSE offer testing services? If not, can you provide locations close to the Convention Center that may offer such services?

HFSE will not have testing available on-site but there are several testing options in Austin near the Convention Center. This link includes a few options in the area: Austin Testing Options

Will entry into HFSE be granted to individuals that may have medical or non-medical reasons for not getting a Covid-19 vaccination, but are able to provide a negative Covid test?

Yes, entry into HFSE will be granted to individuals with a negative test taken within 72 hours of attending. 

Mask FAQs

What type of masks are acceptable?

Masks should have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric. Two- or three-layer disposable medical masks are acceptable.

Is there a specific way I must wear my mask while inside the Austin Convention Center?

Masks must be placed over your nose and mouth and secured under your chin.

Are there any additional recommendations about masks?

It is recommended to have a face mask that includes a nose wire to prevent air from leaking out of the top of the mask

Are Gaiters an acceptable mask form?

Gaiters will be allowed but not recommended – ALL gaiters should be made with two layers OR fold to make two layers.

Will masks be provided at HFSE?

HFSE will have a supply of 3-ply disposable masks located at Registration if you misplace, forget, or lose your mask.

May I remove my mask while on the exhibit floor to enjoy food and beverages?

You may only remove your mask on the HFSE exhibit floor for the purpose of eating and drinking. Once you have enjoyed your beverage and/or food item, we ask that you please wear your mask.

Will speakers and presenters be wearing masks on-site and within conference sessions?

Speakers are required to wear masks unless on stage presenting. Speakers are not required to wear masks when presenting or while participating on panels. Social distancing will be maintained between the speaker and attendees.

Pick your badge ribbon that matches your comfort level. 

Green- Open for handshakes and maybe even hugs.
Yellow - Still being cautious, elbows only.
Red - No contact, stay 6' away. 

Ribbons will be available at the HFSE registration when you pick up your badge. We hope this makes navigating being being back together a little easier.
