Steve serves as project manager for the Mount Carmel Grove City project, responsible for leading the design team in collaboration with the construction team for the 210-bed replacement hospital. With more than 20 years of experience, Steve’s portfolio of work includes LEED-Certified, nationally published and award-winning projects; his proudest accomplishment has been designing healthcare environments that improve the overall experience for patients, families and staff. Steve chairs GS&P’s NSTEP Program, an AIA-recognized clinical shadowing program that educates staff on how to design effective clinical environments. As an active industry participant, Steve chaired what is now the Emerging Professionals group, and is a former Board member of Leadership Healthcare—an organization developed by the Nashville Health Care Council. He was named a finalist in the Nashville Emerging Leader Awards (NELA) in 2009 and went on to chair the NELA awards committee for architecture, engineering and construction. Steve earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University and is EDAC (Evidence-Based-Design-Certified).
