James Lesslie is President of Beaulieu Commercial, the commercial carpet division of Beaulieu Group, LLC. James joined the company in April, 2004. Since that time the commercial division has shown significant sales growth. During his tenure, Beaulieu Commercial also launched Nexterra™, an award winning carpet tile backing system made from post consumer water and soda bottles. Prior to joining Beaulieu, James was Vice President of the Hospitality and Carpet Tile businesses at Shaw Industries. James also had oversight and coordination of product development and marketing activities for all the commercial selling divisions of Shaw Commercial businesses. James worked at Queen Carpets from 1994 until 1989 when Queen was acquired by Shaw Industries. At Queen, James was Vice President of Development overseeing not only new products but new processes and technology. During his tenure, Queen doubled their fiber extrusion capacity and constructed a nylon polymerization operation in a joint venture with DSM. Prior to joining Queen, James worked for Allied Signal from 1983 – 1994 in a variety of positions including fiber development, dye and yarn processing technology and sales management. James is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of South Carolina with Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
