Liz Douglas is the Vice President of Facilities and Support Services for UW Health. Liz’s responsibilities include oversight of UW Health facilities resources, including facilities engineering, planning, design, construction, infrastructure maintenance, utilities, sustainability, security, safety, emergency management, guest services, valet, gift shop, environmental services and culinary services. She is responsible for long-term strategic inpatient and ambulatory facilities planning and achieving the highest and best use of our valuable facilities resources. Liz came to UW Health from a long career in engineering. She spent twenty-three years at Henneman Engineering, progressing from project engineer to president of the company, serving as president from 2014-16. She started at UW Health in November 2016. Liz received her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is also a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and Wisconsin Hospital Engineers Association.
