Dr. Rochon is a geriatrician, VP of research at Women’s College Hospital, senior scientist at WCRI, professor and Retired Teachers of Ontario Chair in Geriatric Medicine at University of Toronto (U of T). With a McMaster University medical degree and geriatric medicine fellowship at U of T, research training included a Geriatric Medicine fellowship at St. George''s Hospital, U.K and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard, followed by a gerontology research fellowship. A leading researcher in geriatric medicine, she has focused on the unique needs of older adults, their health and wellness. She has published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals. In 2013, she was elected to the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS), recognizing her history of outstanding performance in the academic health sciences.
