Orest is the principal interior designer for the Department of Veterans Affairs with 20 years’ of experience. He was formerly the lead interior designer at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. His major projects included development of a facility wide interior standards program, 100,000 sq. ft. Outpatient Addition, Woman’s Health Clinic, Drug Dependency Treatment Center, Vet Center, Chapel, Morgue, Nutrition & Food Service, Community Based Outpatient Clinics and a new 200 Bed Tower Addition. He has acted as liaison between VA and the internship program with the School of The Art Institute of Chicago for students studying interior design. He has extensive experience in signage and wayfinding, assisting in updating the 2005 VA signage Design Guide. He has been nominated for Federal Employee of The Year. He was chosen by the Office of Facilities Management to receive the Environment Leadership Award in 2002 and 2003. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of The Art of Institute of Chicago
