This panel discussion aims to explore the use of creative arts therapies in clinical practice though exploring the theoretical & practical approaches to treatment across five creative arts therapies professions. Using a single case study these practitioners will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about, & create a dialogue around, how creative approaches are effectively being used in the field to impact health outcomes.

Angel Duncan: Technologies and Arts Therapy: Creative Interventions for Neurological Disorders
 
The advanced technology of the MIND app will demonstrate where and how to identify technology application steps with a hands-on approach on how to effectively work with those who have cognitive/neurological disorders while utilizing GE Healthcare's cutting-edge technology. Best practices in community arts programming are discussed to address how to start a program, where to identify local support, and implement effective ways to improve quality of life for persons with dementia and their caregivers.
