HEALTHCARE FACILITIES SYMPOSIUM & EXPO ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR ARTS IN HEALTH
AUSTIN, TX – The Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo (HFSE) announced today that they are partnering with the newly formed National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH). NOAH’s inaugural conference will be held in conjunction with the 30th Annual Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo September 18-21, 2017 in Austin, Texas.
The mission of HFSE is to create a multi-disciplinary environment that inspires attendees to evoke change and the advancement of a better delivery of healthcare through the physical space. Competitors, clients, and colleagues come together as friends to collaborate, share research, hear fresh perspectives and participate in the ever changing conversation of the industry.
NOAH’s mission is to promote the incorporation of the arts as an appropriate, integral component of healthcare by 1) demonstrating the valuable role of the arts in enhancing the healing process, 2) integrating the arts in the planning, design, and operation of health care facilities, and 3) developing and managing arts programming for health care populations.
“NOAH members work with our design and construction attendees to bring art and cultural programs into the health environment. They are another member of the team responsible for building and renovating healthcare facilities. This partnership is a way to cement the relationship we’ve had with art professionals over the years. We think it’s very apropos that the inaugural year happens to be in Austin – a city with such a rich arts community”, commented Jenabeth Ferguson, Vice President, Symposium Director, JD Events.
“We feel partnering with HFSE provides an exciting opportunity for these two important aspects of the creative community to come together, learn from each other, and establish strategic partnerships going forward to help us achieve our shared goals of enhancing the patient experience and human health and well-being”, says Annette Ridenour, Co-Chair of the Conference, NOAH.
