Last week was a big one for us! We offered a sneak peek at our 2014 conference program, opened registration for this year and revealed our new look (at www.hcarefacilities.com). Every year we develop a different marketing campaign for the event but this year as we went down that path, we ended up with something very different - including a new look for our logo. We didn’t necessarily set out to change the logo but after our 2013 event we did set out to do things a little differently. After all, the industry we serve is going through a major transformation and how we serve that industry has changed as well. We wanted to be sure the look we projected was matching the resources and expertise we provide. At the same time the Symposium is 27 years old and has only had two logos, so to change it was a big deal. Our driving mantra was to embrace the Symposium history, celebrate the Healthcare Facilities community we are today and recognize the future we are heading towards. That’s a lot of pressure to put on a logo and marketing campaign.
At its core, the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo is about connecting people. Whether it’s our webinars, this Leaflet or the face to face event every fall, we are trying to connect those who need information with those who have it. Sometimes that happens when you sit in a session and find a speaker with the expertise you need to complete a project or when you walk the exhibit floor and talk with an exhibitor whose product can fix a problem in your facility. But more often it happens because we bring likeminded people together and create an environment where you can engage with other professionals about the challenges facing you every day. Our new look certainly speaks to building those connections. And in today’s world where information is everywhere and overwhelming, isn’t it the connections with other people that really help you? We certainly think so which is why we work so hard every year to provide that opportunity for you to step away from your office and the harried pace of life and for three days connect with other professionals trying to create the healthcare facilities of tomorrow.
